Why Use Thick Guitar picks?

Purple Plectrums was the original innovator of big plectrums.  I made thick guitar picks back in 2012.  I started making these handcrafted boutique guitar picks because I have nerve and tendon damage in both hands and holding thin picks was very painful.  I decided to experiment making big and thick guitar picks for myself using advanced thermo-plastics like uhmw-pe or ultra heavy molecular weight polyethylene.

Opting for thicker guitar picks can boost your playing efficiency, while requiring less effort. This concept limits hand movement and reduces stress, helping to alleviate cramping and tension. It's particularly useful for guitarists who suffer from muscle-related conditions like osteoarthritis or tendinitis. But even those without these issues can experience the benefits of this biomechanical principle, achieving greater accuracy, efficiency and speed in their playing. This makes an intriguing option for musicians eager to explore and experiment new possibilities.

What is MidTech series?

MidTech series is basically and functionally the same as my handcrafted models but without the designs.  The material UHMW-PE is known for its exceptional wear characteristic and offers a warm tone with a soft and velvety feel when holding.  The MidTech series is the standard and cost effective way to explore my collection 🤘🎸
