Shield Plectrum in Ultem

4 stars to support the beautiful craftsmanship, nice feel in the hand, and wonderful customer service. However, I have never heard such loud, squeaky, scratchy noises coming from a pick before. I'm sure it's a non-issue for electric guitars with a distortion pedal, but for an acoustic guitar (which I mentioned to the owner I would be using it for) it is essentially unusable. In fairness to him, he originally suggested the mid-tech material, so the mistake is on me. I just wanted to give insight to any other flatpickin' shoppers out there.

I am a proud owner of many Purple Plectrums. All the ones I have owned up to this point have been the UHMWPE style. This my 1st Ultem Purple Plectrum and it is a fantastic compliment to Kori's line of beautiful picks. On both acoustic and electric, this pick produces little to no pick chirp and the tone, while being different than the UHMWPE picks, is so warm, it deserves its own category. The familiar Shield style makes this comfortable while the material makes gripping super easy. Ultem is unique in that the warmer your hand gets, the more the pick stays put. In addition, it is stunning to look at. It is like a fine bourbon poured into a pick mold and made solid. Many, many songs will flow from this pick. I have already begun writing several and look forward to the lifetime of inspiration this is certain to bring.

I know I said that about the stash but this fits better in mat hand... I have three of the forged ones and U use them so much the ends wear a bit... NOT THIS BEAST...

THIS being said... I will be buying more...
