Why Use Thick Guitar picks?

Purple Plectrums was the original innovator of big guitar picks. I made THICK plectrums back in 2012. I started making these picks because I have arthritis and nerve damage in my hands and holding thin picks was very painful for me and I would easily cramp up. So I decided to experiment making big guitar picks for myself using advanced thermo-plastics like uhmw-pe or ultra heavy molecular weight polyethylene.

Opting for thicker guitar picks can boost your playing efficiency and power, while requiring less effort. This concept limits hand movement and builds hand strength, helping to alleviate cramping and tension. It's particularly useful for guitarists who suffer from muscle-related conditions like osteoarthritis or tendinitis.
